The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a exciting storyline showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within the urban setting.

Warning: Spoilers for Episode 3 of the new season follow below.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of heroes who will branch out from the central cast to embark on their own adventure, apart from the remaining groups.

This warrior group includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the start that maintaining everyone at one table would be impossible.

That’s why, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the individual narratives before dividing into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Planners, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for players who enjoy a classically intense combat and conflict-driven narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the hesitant healer the cleric might appear mismatched, but the actions of the third episode show why these particular heroes are best suited for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with the antagonists.

Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into the hidden lair, assaulting Thimble, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The antagonist then cleared his debts and fled to a fortified location in the northern region, north of the city, with Cyd close behind.

Individual Reasons

Additionally, each adventurer has a specific drive to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and closest confidant, desires retribution.
  • Kattigan has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a hostile location.
  • Tyranny and Wicander, having defied his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead freed him, have no other options.
  • However, their position as key figures in House Halovar could enable the group access locations they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character pledged a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The warrior and The cleric defied House Halovar and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The fighter is marked for death by the family.

This leaves them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in quest for the traitor.

What’s Next?

According to episode three’s Cooldown, we learn that the Soldiers table will be absent next week, leaving the rest of the participants to form the Seekers and Strategists parties.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which characters will be assigned to which table in the season’s concluding setup installment, available to watch on the upcoming Thursday.
